Our Aims
Curriculum
We value each unique child as an individual. We pride ourselves on knowing our children well and being able to support them to make progress during their time with us.
We are committed to helping every child make excellent progress through fun, engaging, and play-based learning experiences. Giving each child a strong, positive start to their education, where they develop lifelong skills and a love for learning.
We follow the Development Matters guidance to support our planning and work towards the Early Learning Goals outlined in the EYFS Framework by the end of Reception.
Children are encouraged to explore both our indoor and outdoor learning environments, which are thoughtfully designed with continuous and enhanced provision. Continuous provision includes resources that are always available to support independent learning, while enhanced provision consists of weekly activities and materials linked to our current topics or termly curriculum themes. All areas of provision are carefully planned to support individual skill development and ensure learning opportunities are tailored to meet each child’s needs. Our environments are designed to be both supportive and challenging, promoting growth and curiosity.
In addition to play-based learning, children also take part in adult-led lessons and small group activities. These include subjects such as RE, Phonics, Literacy, Mathematics, PSHE, PE, and more. Through these focused sessions, we teach essential new skills that children are then encouraged to apply independently during their play.

Tapestry
We use Tapestry which is an online learning journal for every child. You will have your own individual log in, where you can view pictures or videos of your child’s learning. You can comment on these observations. We highly encourage you to add your child’s home achievements and learning to share with the school, these will be displayed on our home learning display in the classroom.
Patrick
We have a class bear called, Patrick. The children will take it in turns to take Patrick home on Friday and bring him back on Monday. Please take photos and share about your weekend with Patrick by filling in his home diary and sending photos into tapestry.
