Year 4

Welcome to Year 4’s class page. The Year 4 Team is made up of:

  • Mrs Burton (Teacher) who teaches Monday and Tuesday
  • Mrs Matthews (Teacher) who teaches Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Mr Williams (Teaching Assistant)

During this year, we have many exciting experiences planned and our curriculum enables each individual child to grow in confidence, providing the skills and knowledge for them to achieve their full God-given potential. This term we will have The Rainforest Roadshow in school as we journey through are topic of Falling Trees ( Rainforest deforestation)

How can you help ?

  • Reading everyday with your child makes a huge difference in the progress of your child’s reading.
  • Using Multiplication Tables Check – 2023 – Timestables.co.uk daily and checking progress will enable your child to learn their times tables, therefore their mental mathematics will improve.
  • Using the TTRockstar app.
  • Researching the topics they are learning will enable them to have a greater understanding of that topic and help them to become independent learners
  • Learning the Year 3 and 4 spellings

All the Year Four staff really enjoy working and learning  with you and your child. Our expectations are high from children in Year 4 because we know they can achieve their full, God-given potential if they set their minds to it. All Year 4 staff are fully committed to supporting them to achieve this and prepare them for Upper Key Stage 2 .
